Director of Architecture

About the role

Our client, a leading design practice in Dubai, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Architecture to lead the architecture department. The role combines strategic project leadership with strong business development and commercial awareness to expand the firm’s hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the architecture team’s performance, overseeing project delivery from concept to completion.
• Lead business development initiatives, identifying and securing new hospitality and high‑rise projects.
• Maintain and grow relationships with clients, consultants, and local authorities.
• Mentor and develop senior architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Ensure design solutions align with market trends and the firm’s quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• 15–20 years of professional experience in architecture, with at least 10 years in an associate or director‑level role.
• Extensive experience in hospitality architectural design, particularly luxury hotels and high‑rise developments in the Middle East.
• Proven track record of winning new business and delivering large‑scale projects.
• Deep knowledge of the Dubai and regional design market.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
