Director of Employee Relations

About the role

Dubai Holding is seeking a Director of Employee Relations to provide strategic leadership and oversight of employee relations across the Group. The role ensures consistent, fair, and legally compliant handling of all employee matters while supporting the organisation's People Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Group‑wide Employee Relations strategy, governance framework and policies.
• Oversee end‑to‑end case management for disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations and terminations.
• Monitor case metrics, identify trends and drive early‑intervention strategies.
• Lead workforce restructuring, redundancy programmes and transfer of undertakings ensuring legal compliance.
• Provide senior advisory counsel to Human Capital leadership on complex, high‑risk ER issues.
• Develop regular ER reporting, dashboards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 10–12 years progressive experience in employee relations, HR operations or employment law, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Business Administration or related field; Master’s or professional certification (CIPD Level 7, SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
• Strong leadership, judgement, discretion and ability to manage sensitive matters.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in UAE labour law (Federal Decree‑Law No 33 of 2021) and MOHRE regulations.
• Experience with ER case management systems and HR information systems.
• Knowledge of disciplinary and grievance management frameworks.
• Proficiency in workforce restructuring, redundancy and transfer of undertakings.
• Familiarity with employee engagement analytics and sentiment monitoring tools.
