Director of HR Business Partnering

About the role

The Director – HR Business Partner (HRBP) leads the HR Business Partnering function for GMG’s Everyday Goods division, covering multi‑format retail, food manufacturing and B2B distribution. Reporting to senior HR leadership, the role shapes strategic HR initiatives that attract, develop and retain talent across diverse workforce groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HRBP function, overseeing organizational restructuring, strategic budgeting and employee‑relations issues for retail, factory and distribution teams.
• Own workforce planning and manpower budgeting, including headcount, manning ratios for new store and factory openings, and seasonal staffing.
• Partner with retail, manufacturing and distribution leaders to drive capability building, organizational readiness and smooth transitions during expansion.
• Set HR and culture priorities aligned with business goals, ensuring consistent people practices across all verticals.
• Ensure job descriptions are crafted in line with Rewards team guidelines, maintaining clarity and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• HR professional certification (SHRM or CIPD) and at least 10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of UAE labour law and MOHRE regulations, especially for blue‑collar and multi‑site operations.
• Strong business acumen, consulting skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills; Arabic is a plus.
