Director of Human Resources

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Human Resources professional to lead the HR function at Rotana Hotels & Resorts in Abu Dhabi. The Director of Human Resources will shape and implement HR strategies that support the hotel’s strategic objectives and deliver exceptional service to colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and direct all HR facets including recruitment, coaching, compensation & benefits, health & safety, performance management and succession planning.
• Ensure recruitment of high‑calibre employees within budgeted staffing plans.
• Provide functional direction and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
• Act as a sounding board for colleague concerns, mediate solutions and initiate necessary changes.
• Offer direction, coaching and counseling on performance management and employee relations.
• Maintain high colleague satisfaction and team spirit through active participation in hotel core committees.
• Ensure effective communication across the hotel.
• Establish and implement annual HR objectives, budget and programs aligned with the hotel’s strategic plan.
• Foster a cooperative working climate that maximises productivity and morale.

Required profile

• University degree in a related discipline or a professional HR designation.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar senior HR role.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in a computerized payroll system.
• Fluent English; Gulf experience preferred.
• Demonstrated career progression and stability.
