Director of Inclusion (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

The Director of Inclusion will lead the Inclusion department at GEMS World Academy, Dubai, beginning in January 2027. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for shaping inclusive practices, supporting diverse learners, and driving continuous improvement across the school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE) with a specialism in Inclusion.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching Inclusion, preferably within an IB curriculum.
• Strong understanding of the IB framework and Approaches to Teaching.
• Alignment with the IB Learner Profile values and a passion for culturally diverse, non‑selective environments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in teaching and learning.

Required skills

• Understanding of the IB framework.
• Familiarity with IB Approaches to Teaching.
• Knowledge of inclusive education strategies.
