Director of Revenue

About the role

The Director of Revenue is responsible for balancing financial objectives across lodging products to maximise total revenue and profit from guest rooms. This senior position oversees pricing, positioning and inventory for all hotels within the assigned portfolio and works closely with hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse period‑end and system data to identify trends, forecast demand and spot obstacles to revenue goals.
• Generate regular updates on transient booking patterns and produce accurate reports, presentations and STAR analyses.
• Maintain reservation system data and monitor distribution channels for correct hotel positioning and competitor activity.
• Develop and recommend sales and pricing strategies for transient, wholesale and group segments.
• Identify new revenue opportunities and communicate strategies to key stakeholders.
• Provide revenue‑management expertise to property leadership, implement and evaluate pricing tests, and support the creation of the annual room‑revenue budget.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field plus 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales or marketing, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with no experience required.
