Director, Private Banking – MENA

About the role

The Director, Private Banking – MENA will lead the development of business across diverse markets, focusing on ultra‑high‑net‑worth and high‑net‑worth clients both on‑shore and offshore. The role aims to grow assets under management, increase market share and deliver an exceptional level of service and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a client base of HNWI & UHNWI, delivering excellent service and generating new business.
• Manage end‑to‑end projects and coordinate with group colleagues across regions.
• Identify and acquire new clients through referrals, professional networks and marketing initiatives.
• Promote the three core private banking businesses (banking, fiduciary, portfolio management) for both offshore (Switzerland) and on‑shore (UAE) markets.
• Drive cross‑selling opportunities between FAB’s branches and global offices.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers to generate referrals.
• Conduct full client due‑diligence, including AML, OFAC and KYC checks, and monitor portfolios for diversification.
• Oversee the private banking UAE office on an administrative basis when required.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of private banking disciplines – banking, fiduciary services, and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of offshore jurisdictions (e.g., Switzerland, UK, US, Jersey, Cayman, BVI) and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record of business development and relationship management with UHNWI/HNWI clients.
• Familiarity with FAB’s policies, AML, OFAC and KYC requirements.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams on a rotational basis.
