Head of Credit Administration

About the role

The Head of Credit Administration will lead the Credit Administration Department (CAD), providing both strategic direction and hands‑on support. The role ensures that all credit activities are performed in line with sanctions, approvals, and the bank’s credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all work complies with sanctions, approvals, and the bank’s Credit Policy & Procedure to manage credit risk efficiently.
• Assist internal and external auditors, respond to queries, and address audit comments related to credit administration.
• Support and implement credit risk management projects as directed by senior management.
• Monitor daily performance of Credit Operations, Documentation, and MIS staff, providing tools, training, and guidance to improve efficiency.
• Review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness before releasing credit applications.
• Maintain consistent administration of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and update reports, trackers, and maintain the Document Tracking System.
• Ensure safe custody and traceability of securities and collaterals, acting as custodian.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE banking experience, preferably in credit or CAD management.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and perform under pressure.
