Director – Wildlife Rescue Centre

About the role

Miral Experiences is seeking a visionary leader to head its Wildlife Rescue & Release Centre (WRC). The Director will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and regulatory compliance for all aspects of wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release, ensuring the centre operates at world‑class standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the centre’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives aligned with Al Ain Zoo’s conservation goals.
• Lead annual operational planning, set priorities, and drive continuous improvement in rescue and rehabilitation programs.
• Oversee intake, quarantine, treatment, rehabilitation, release, transfer, and long‑term care of wildlife.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, international best practices, and organisational policies.
• Maintain staffing, equipment, facilities, and resources to guarantee operational readiness.
• Represent the centre with government agencies, conservation organisations, veterinary authorities, and emergency responders.
• Coordinate emergency wildlife rescue operations as required.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation or related conservation programmes.
• Strong strategic planning and operational management capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of animal welfare standards, regulatory frameworks and best‑practice guidelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with government and conservation bodies.
