Document Controller (Construction & Facades)

About the role

The Document Controller will support AluMake Metal Industries' DIP 2 facility by managing all project documentation related to construction, facades, aluminum and glass works. The role ensures accurate flow of submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and inspection requests between the factory, site engineers, contractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and maintain technical document control systems, tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Log, monitor and follow up on consultant approvals, inspection requests and material submittals.
• Archive electronic and physical records in line with ISO quality procedures.
• Coordinate document workflows among factory teams, site engineers, project managers and external consultants.
• Generate weekly and monthly tracking logs, submittal status sheets and progress reports for management.
• Enforce drawing version control and distribute approved revisions to production and installation teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management or a related field.
• 2–8 years of document control experience in UAE facades, aluminum & glass, or construction/fit‑out sectors.
• Professional English communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Electronic Document Management Systems such as Aconex, Procore, BIM 360 and PMWeb.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Competence with PDF editing tools.

What we offer

• Salary range AED 3,000 – AED 5,000 per month.
