Duty Engineer

About the role

Join FIVE Hotels and Resorts as a Duty Engineer and play a pivotal role in keeping our hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems running smoothly. You will be part of a dynamic team that ensures uninterrupted guest experiences across a vibrant hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily operation of building services and engineering equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns and emergencies.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established procedures.
• Diagnose technical issues efficiently to minimise operational disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and service schedules.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of engineering experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands‑on experience with building operations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle emergency situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proactive attitude with a “can‑do” mindset.
