Duty Manager - Hotel Operations

About the role

Accor is hiring a full-time Duty Manager in Dubai to oversee and coordinate hotel operations during each assigned shift. The Duty Manager acts as the management representative on duty, ensuring all departments run efficiently to hotel standards and that guests receive professional, personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the hotel during the shift, inspect public areas and guest facilities, and monitor arrivals, departures, VIPs, groups and special requests
• Keep Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering and Security coordinated, and ensure smooth shift handovers
• Handle guest complaints, special requests and service recovery, and follow up on guest feedback
• Guide team members, run briefings and report employee or operational issues to the relevant department head or HR
• Ensure guest, employee and property safety, respond to emergencies and prepare incident reports
• Monitor Front Office operations, cashiering and billing, and authorise refunds and rebates within authority
• Maintain SOPs, brand standards and cleanliness, and support audits and quality checks
• Keep the Duty Manager logbook, shift and incident reports, and report to the Hotel Manager

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of hotel operations experience, preferably Front Office or supervisory
• Previous experience in an international hotel chain is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Front Office operations, guest service standards and hotel procedures
• Strong written and spoken English
• Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly
