Ecommerce Accountant – Retail

About the role

The Ecommerce Accountant – Retail will join Lutfi Group’s finance team in Dubai, handling the full spectrum of accounting activities for the company’s online retail operations. This full‑time, on‑site position supports both day‑to‑day transaction processing and month‑end financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile online sales, payment‑gateway settlements, refunds and chargebacks.
• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate general ledgers.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and produce timely financial statements.
• Monitor inventory‑related accounting and resolve discrepancies with ecommerce, sales and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
• Analyse financial data proactively to aid decision‑making and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability and experience interpreting ecommerce and retail financial data.
• Solid accounting background, including journal entry preparation and ledger maintenance.
• Understanding of finance principles and retail/ecommerce business models.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting reporting processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work accurately under time constraints.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multicultural environment.
