About the role
GEMS Dubai American Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Educational Assistant to support the Middle School Social Studies department. You will work closely with the Head of Department, helping to deliver engaging lessons and maintain smooth classroom operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Department in preparing curriculum documents and teaching resources.
- Run small‑group activities inside or outside the classroom and support whole‑class supervision when required.
- Prepare classroom activities, supporting documents, and manage the ordering and distribution of educational resources.
- Cover classes for short periods, gaining familiarity with core Social Studies content.
Required profile
- Good general education level with prior experience in a similar role or working with children.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Computer literate.
- Attested degree or college certificates in a relevant subject field.
