About the role
We are seeking an outstanding Head of History & Politics to lead the department at Jumeirah College in Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee a highly popular and effective department, building on the exceptional GCSE and A‑Level results achieved in 2025, where 100% of students earned grades 9‑5 at GCSE and high percentages achieved A*‑C at A‑Level. The role is central to the school’s philosophy of providing enriched curriculum opportunities for students.
Required profile
- A B.Ed. or degree with PGCE/PGDE (or equivalent) and exceptional subject knowledge.
- Minimum two years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England, including GCSE and A‑Level.
- Proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching outcomes.
- Commitment to a mindset that all students can achieve top performance.
- Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
