Electrical Draftsman – AutoCAD & MEP Specialist

About the role

Smart Bim Technical Services L.L.C is seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsman to join its Dubai team. The role focuses on producing detailed electrical shop drawings and coordinating MEP designs for high‑rise facilities. Candidates should have 5‑8 years of UAE experience, preferably in facility management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, lighting layouts, power containment, ELV systems, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Design electrical rooms, LV rooms and trench layouts.
• Compile DEWA submittal packages, including Total Connected Load schedules, Maximum Demand calculations and schematic layouts in line with DEWA standards.
• Perform spatial clash detection and coordinate with mechanical, plumbing and structural disciplines.
• Update drawings based on site changes and engineer feedback to produce accurate as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in the UAE, especially in facility management and high‑rise projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, building services and construction practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, coordination abilities and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit MEP/BIM (advantageous).
• Ability to create electrical schematics and DEWA‑compliant documentation.
