Electrical Engineer – Airport Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join Al Sahraa Group’s airport construction team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on designing, installing and maintaining electrical systems that integrate seamlessly with civil construction works for airport projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical design plans in collaboration with project managers and multidisciplinary engineers.
• Perform site visits and surveys to determine electrical requirements and detect potential issues.
• Review, approve and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications and calculations.
• Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely installation of electrical systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems that arise during construction.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to project managers.
• Test and commission electrical systems to confirm functionality and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
• Stay current with industry advancements and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8‑10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in civil construction.
• Demonstrated experience on airport construction projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
