Electrical Engineer

About the role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, supervise and commission solar PV projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery of rooftop and ground‑mounted solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review electrical layouts for solar PV systems, including single‑line diagrams, cable sizing, earthing and protection schemes.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning activities on site, ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and procurement teams to align project schedules and technical requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve electrical issues during execution, and support grid synchronization and inverter performance testing.
• Review vendor drawings, BOQs and technical documents, and assist in O&M planning and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Solar PV design tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD).
• Electrical calculations such as load flow, cable sizing and fault level analysis.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
