Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Gradiant, a leading provider of advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions, is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join its Dubai manufacturing team. The role involves delivering electrical and instrumentation designs, supervising installation, and supporting commissioning for critical plant projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical deliverables such as single‑line diagrams, load lists, earthing and lightning protection layouts, and power distribution schematics.
• Perform cable sizing calculations, prepare cable and termination schedules, and specify MCC, DB, transformer and related equipment.
• Evaluate vendor quotations, review technical documents, and conduct bid evaluations.
• Supervise LV/MV equipment installation, cable routing, earthing works and conduct electrical testing (insulation resistance, high‑voltage, continuity).
• Support energisation, motor solo runs, loop checks and overall plant commissioning.
• Produce instrumentation documents including P&IDs, instrument index, I/O lists, datasheets, hook‑up and loop diagrams.
• Select and size field instruments and analyzers, prepare RFQs and assess vendor proposals.
• Configure PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI systems, develop logic, interlocks, graphics, historian and alarm settings.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation design for industrial plants.
• Hands‑on involvement in installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment.
