Electrician

About the role

The Contractor will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems at Al Dhafra Air Base. This full‑time position supports the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and ensures that all distribution and lighting systems remain operational and safely phased.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair primary and secondary distribution panels, circuits, and equipment.
• Perform routine operational checks on interior and exterior lighting, access control, and grounding systems.
• Maintain medium‑ and high‑voltage lines (600 V‑15 kV), switchgear, transformers, relays, and capacitors.
• Service low‑voltage systems, sub‑stations, and secondary distribution centers.
• Repair electric motor connections for HVAC and water pumps, as well as roll‑up doors.
• Inspect critical grounding after lightning strikes and follow Air Force Electrical Explosive Safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Relevant experience with electrical inspection, maintenance, and repair.
