Elevator Erecting Mechanic – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Elevator Erecting Mechanic to join our team in Dubai. The role involves the complete mechanical installation of passenger, freight and service elevators, ensuring all components are aligned, levelled and ready for electrical commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Install guide rails, brackets, buffers, machine beams, traction machines, counterweights and elevator cars.
• Fit landing doors, car doors, door operators and related mechanical components.
• Read and interpret layout and installation drawings to ensure correct placement.
• Maintain proper alignment, leveling and plumbness of all installed equipment.
• Perform mechanical adjustments prior to electrical testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with electrical technicians, supervisors and project engineers to meet project schedules.
• Uphold a clean, safe work environment and comply with company quality procedures and UAE safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in elevator mechanical installation.
• Technical Diploma or equivalent; elevator installation certification is a plus.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• UAE experience and driving licence are advantageous.

Required skills

• Mechanical installation of elevators
• Reading mechanical and installation drawings
• Scaffoldless installation techniques
• Use of laser levels, plumb wires, torque wrenches and chain blocks
• Proficiency with hand tools and lifting equipment
• Knowledge of international elevator safety standards and HSE requirements
• Troubleshooting mechanical installation issues
