Embryologist – IVF Specialist

About the role

The IVF laboratory of Abu Dhabi Region is seeking a qualified Embryologist to deliver clinical embryology and andrology services. The successful candidate will work closely with the fertility team to support in‑vitro fertilisation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection and intra‑uterine insemination programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform semen analysis, preparation, cryopreservation and thawing for IVF, ICSI and IUI cycles.
• Process epididymal sperm, testicular biopsies and conduct Micro‑TESE procedures.
• Collect, assess, inseminate and inject oocytes using IVF or ICSI techniques.
• Handle, culture, assess fertilisation, cleavage and blastocyst development of embryos.
• Select and transfer embryos, and manage embryo cryopreservation, thawing and biopsy for genetic testing.
• Prepare gamete and embryo culture dishes and maintain laboratory equipment, disinfection and validation protocols.
• Maintain cryo‑storage tanks, perform audits and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Communicate treatment outcomes to patients and support overall laboratory maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Health Sciences, Applied Science, Biology or Zoology.
• Master’s degree in Human Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
• Valid DOH licence or eligibility to practice in the UAE.
