EMEA Regulatory Counsel – Dubai

About the role

Stripe is looking for an experienced legal counsel to lead its regulatory work in the UAE and support future expansion across the EMEA region. Based in Dubai, you will join the EMEA Regulatory Legal team and report to the Head of EMEA Regulatory Legal in Dublin. The role offers the chance to shape Stripe’s compliance strategy in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day regulatory advice to product, legal, compliance, policy and risk teams on UAE and EMEA financial laws.
• Support product development by translating regulatory requirements into compliant product features.
• Develop and refine internal policies, procedures and compliance programmes to meet evolving regulatory standards.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess risks and identify opportunities for proactive engagement.
• Engage with regulators and policymakers on behalf of Stripe, representing the company’s interests and policy positions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in payments, fintech or financial services regulation.
• Demonstrated ability to advise cross‑functional teams and influence product strategy.
• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulatory framework and willingness to stay abreast of EMEA trends.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with regulators.
