English and Media Teacher

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking an enthusiastic English and Media Teacher to join its high‑performing department in Dubai. You will deliver GCSE English and A‑Level Media Studies, English Language and English Literature to motivated students and contribute to the school’s strong academic record.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for GCSE English and A‑Level Media Studies.
• Prepare students for examinations and coursework, aiming for top grades.
• Lead and support extracurricular activities, including film competitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching certification in Media or English.
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of media theory and analysis.
• Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities.

Required skills
