High School English Teacher (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

We are seeking an outstanding High School English Teacher to join our exceptional team from January 2027. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for English while contributing to our vibrant learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and best practices in inquiry‑based learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including English Language Learners and gifted students.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes collaboration, curiosity, and student well‑being.
• Use technology and innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student progress through varied, authentic methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan cohesive units and contribute to ongoing curriculum development.
• Participate actively in the school’s co‑curricular and community programmes to support holistic learning.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a subject‑related degree with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent) in English.
• Have proven experience teaching High School English, ideally within an American or IB curriculum context.
• Demonstrate ability to inspire, motivate, and support students through engaging, purposeful learning.
• Build strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and reflective approach.
• Be committed to ongoing professional development and contributing to the school’s positive, inclusive culture.
• Available to start in January 2027.
