English Teacher

About the role

Join Yas American Academy, part of the Aldar family of schools, as an English Teacher delivering the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum alongside Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies. Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum standards.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to design interdisciplinary projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents to discuss student achievement and wellbeing.
• Utilise school resources, including libraries and sports facilities, to enrich learning experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of teaching experience (approximately 24 months).
• Strong understanding of the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum.
• Appreciation of local cultural values and ability to integrate Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
