Equipment Mechanic

About the role

The Equipment Mechanic will perform maintenance, repair and installation on a wide variety of industrial equipment for AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC. The role follows work orders and verbal instructions while complying with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as compressors, boilers, cranes, forklifts, water pumps and machine tools.
• Conduct rebuilds, installations and periodic servicing of equipment, and respond to emergency calls.
• Prepare hand sketches and use OEM documentation for repairs and installations.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in creating job plans, identifying required spares and generating purchase requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, environmental directives and maintain PPE, tools and uniforms.
• Support other Facilities Department members and maintain confidentiality of company information.

Required profile

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards.
• Ability to follow company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
• Willingness to participate in developing a safe and healthy working environment.

Required skills

• Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair and installation.
• Hand sketching and interpretation of OEM charts.
• Use of safety equipment and adherence to ISO standards.
