Escrow Engineer – Regulator Compliance & Drawdown Control

About the role

The Escrow Engineer will evaluate and monitor construction‑related exposures, ensuring that all escrow disbursements are validated, compliant with RERA regulations, and aligned with certified project progress. This role supports effective credit decisions and helps maintain a secure credit portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and validate escrow‑related payment certifications in line with RERA Law No. 27 of 2007.
• Review and approve construction drawdowns based on certified progress and contractual milestones.
• Oversee submission and processing of certifications on the RERA TAS system.
• Verify contracts, certifications, and supporting documents when site visits are not required.
• Validate deliverables from external engineering consultants before payment approval.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Escrow Operations, Finance, Credit) and external developers to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor financed projects and regularly review Progressive Payment Certificates (PPCs) for construction and infrastructure disbursements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in banking, project finance, escrow management or construction/project monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience in escrow operations, drawdown control or project certification is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
