Events Sales Executive

About the role

The Events Sales Executive supports the Director of Catering & Events in achieving the hotel’s catering and events revenue targets. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will manage client relationships, coordinate event bookings, and ensure seamless communication across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key bookers and Rotana sales offices to drive business and guest loyalty.
• Conduct sales calls, visits, and follow‑up activities as directed by the Director or Assistant Director of C&E.
• Maintain the Opera system with accurate event data, contracts, and LPOs.
• Handle incoming event requests jointly with sales colleagues, qualify leads, and prepare competitive quotations.
• Quote and negotiate rates according to company guidelines while optimizing revenue through yield management and upselling.
• Supervise banquet operations before, during, and after events to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collect guest feedback and encourage completion of satisfaction surveys.
• Participate in daily and weekly briefings with catering, food & beverage, and kitchen departments.
• Achieve IFH Mystery Call scores of at least 85%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera property management system.
• Understanding of yield management and event revenue optimization.
