Executive Director, Head of Leveraged Finance Syndicate & Distribution

About the role

The Executive Director will lead the newly created Leveraged Finance Syndicate & Distribution (LFSD) vertical within the Loan Syndicate & Distribution (LSD) division of FAB. The role focuses on identifying, underwriting, syndicating and distributing leveraged finance transactions to grow FAB’s loan product revenues.

Key responsibilities

• Identify underwriting and syndication opportunities in the leveraged finance market.
• Underwrite, book‑run and distribute syndicated loans, including term loans, acquisition financings, NAV financings and fund finance.
• Execute secondary trade opportunities and manage the full lifecycle of primary syndication and secondary sales.
• Lead business development initiatives to generate revenue growth and originate new loan facilities.
• Supervise market activity related to underwriting, primary syndication and secondary purchases.
• Manage LFSD revenue, expenses and KPI targets.
• Collaborate with senior management of banks, private credit funds and CLO managers.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members, particularly those in the Ethraa programme.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in leveraged finance, loan underwriting and syndication.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior banking and credit fund executives.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing P&L responsibilities.
• Leadership experience in supervising market‑facing activities and mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders such as IB&M, coverage, credit, legal and compliance teams.
