Facade Engineer

About the role

The Facade Engineer will manage technical aspects and coordinate construction of doors, windows, glass curtain walls, aluminium cladding and other façade works for high‑rise projects in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technical and construction coordination for façade systems including doors, windows, curtain walls and cladding.
• Review construction, shop and fabrication drawings to ensure technical accuracy and resolve on‑site issues.
• Prepare and follow up on material submittals, method statements, RFIs and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, design consultants, suppliers and installation teams for approvals, procurement and installation.
• Provide on‑site technical support, inspect installation quality, monitor progress and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist with façade performance testing, site inspections, as‑built documentation and final handover.
• Support material selection, detailing optimisation, cost control and design changes.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards and UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, Structural or Facade Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in doors, windows and façade industry in the UAE; 5+ years and high‑rise project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of stick and unitised curtain wall systems, glass curtain walls, aluminium cladding, windows and doors.
• Ability to read and review construction, shop and fabrication drawings independently.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Revit, BIM or façade calculation software is an advantage.
• Understanding of local material submittal procedures, inspection, acceptance processes and testing requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills with a high sense of responsibility.
