Factory Operations Manager – Joinery Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead a joinery manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end factory performance, ensuring high‑quality production that meets project delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall operations of the joinery manufacturing plant, optimizing productivity and minimizing waste.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, resource plans and manufacturing workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement across production processes, quality standards and factory performance.
• Manage factory budgets, cost control and productivity to support commercial targets.
• Maintain a strong health and safety culture and manage operational risks.
• Lead, develop and motivate a high‑performing workforce, focusing on capability development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with project, commercial and technical teams to align factory output with project programmes.
• Support tendering and business development through technical input and client engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years’ experience in manufacturing or factory operations.
• Strong background in joinery manufacturing, interior fit‑out or a closely related environment.
• Proven track record managing high‑volume, fast‑paced factory operations.
• Commercially astute with experience handling budgets, cost control and profitability.
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and increasing efficiency.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing principles.
• Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) concepts.
• Digital production planning or factory tracking systems.
• Knowledge of FSC, ISO or other manufacturing sustainability standards.
