Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient Primary Care in Dubai

About the role

A reputable multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its primary‑care services and seeks a qualified Family Medicine Physician to join an integrated outpatient department. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred care to individuals and families within a modern, JCI‑accredited environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care services to patients of all ages, ensuring continuity and long‑term management.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, examinations and diagnostic evaluations for acute and chronic conditions.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic disorders following evidence‑based guidelines.
• Deliver preventive services including health screenings, immunisations, lifestyle counselling and early disease detection.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor outcomes and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and allied health professionals and oversee follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with regulatory documentation standards.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or specialist qualification in Family Medicine (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCGP, European Board, Royal College, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FNB/DM/FCPS, etc.).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience in primary care.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licensing in the UAE (support provided).
• Strong commitment to preventive medicine, chronic disease management and patient education.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering outpatient primary‑care services.
• Ability to use electronic medical record systems for documentation and patient tracking.
