F&B Service Expert – Waiter

About the role

As an F&B Service Expert – Waiter at Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, you will create memorable dining experiences for guests in a unique desert setting. You will combine attentive service with the resort’s high standards of hospitality, ensuring every meal feels part of the overall guest journey.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a smile, acknowledge them by name when possible, and anticipate their service needs.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards, including appropriate linens, glassware, and cutlery.
• Deliver food and beverage orders promptly, communicate special dietary requirements to the kitchen, and check guest satisfaction throughout the service.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and guest areas, practice clean‑as‑you‑go procedures, and clear tables efficiently.
• Handle cash and payment transactions using the MICROS POS system, follow cash‑handling policies, and complete end‑of‑shift banking procedures.
• Perform closing duties such as storing reusable items, cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and securing the workstation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service.
• Higher education diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service orientation.
• Professional appearance, dependability, and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
