F&B Supervisor (Russian, French, Spanish, Italian or Arabic Speaking)

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, is looking for an F&B Supervisor to join its Sunvibe team. The role leads a restaurant section, supervises the floor team and ensures smooth operations, with a preference for candidates fluent in Russian, French, Spanish, Italian or Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a restaurant section, supervise the floor team, assign tasks and ensure opening and closing checklists are completed.
• Know the outlet concept, menu and beverage offerings and explain them accurately to guests, including events and activations.
• Ensure shift-to-shift mise en place, equipment handling and cleanliness of front and back of house, and train new colleagues on F&B standards (SOS).
• Operate POS systems, process food and beverage orders, handle cash, credit cards and non-cash payments including MO Gift Cards, and assist with billing.
• Deliver courteous, personalised service, upsell products and create memorable guest experiences.
• Monitor presentation standards, manage stock and conserve equipment.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies and special requests to management and kitchen, and support other outlets and the Restaurant/Outlet Manager.
• Mentor and coach team members, foster a cooperative team environment and act as the link between the floor team and management.
• Anticipate guest needs, collaborate with the hostess team to record preferences, and create "MOWOW" moments that delight guests.

Required profile

• Fluent verbal and written English is essential.
• Additional languages such as Russian, French, Spanish, Italian or Arabic are an advantage.
• Preferred: high school qualification or equivalent; degree or higher national diploma in hospitality/hotel/business management; minimum 2 years' experience as senior waiter or chef de rang; experience in a high-volume restaurant and in a luxury hotel.
• Ability to work long hours with a focus on operational excellence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of dining and lounge service procedures and standards.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office preferred.
