Feed Manager

About the role

The Feed Manager will lead all aspects of feed production, procurement, storage, quality control and distribution for livestock and poultry operations in Abu Dhabi. This role ensures a reliable supply of high‑quality, cost‑effective feed while complying with nutrition standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and optimise daily feed production, procurement, storage and distribution activities.
• Develop production schedules based on farm demand and operational priorities.
• Monitor feed consumption, allocate feed across farms and optimise conversion efficiency.
• Ensure feed formulations meet nutritional specifications set by the Animal Nutritionist or Technical Team.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, quality‑assurance activities and resolve feed quality issues.
• Work with Procurement to source raw materials and additives, maintain optimal inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.
• Supervise feed‑mill personnel, monitor equipment performance and drive preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Control production and procurement costs, prepare budgets and identify waste‑reduction opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, bio‑security and other feed‑safety regulations; lead internal inspections and support external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in feed production, feed‑mill operations or livestock nutrition.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Professional certifications in Feed Manufacturing, HACCP, GMP or Feed Safety are advantageous.
