HSE & Sustainability Engineer

About the role

Supporting environmental accounting and sustainability reporting, the role is responsible for carbon accounting, reporting, and compliance submissions to regulators and relevant oil and gas authorities. It also leads client aspects of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies and supports the development and maintenance of Environmental Management Plans. The position is based in Sharjah with occasional travel to Kurdistan and Federal Iraq. Training opportunities include ESIA liaison with consultants, auditing and assurance, and environmental reporting using SAP software.

Key responsibilities

• Support environmental accounting and sustainability reporting.
• Handle carbon accounting, reporting, and compliance submissions to regulators and oil and gas authorities.
• Lead client aspects of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies.
• Develop and maintain company and asset Environmental Management Plans.
• Assist in HSE auditing and assurance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or Management.
• At least three years of experience in ESIA (client or consultant).
