Finance Manager – Investment Industry

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting function of an investment company. The role combines hands‑on financial reporting, investment accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management with strong leadership of the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall finance and accounting function across the company and its entities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain financial controls, review journals, accruals, provisions and other adjustments.
• Account for the investment portfolio, recording acquisitions, disposals, dividends, distributions and investment income.
• Monitor realised and unrealised gains/losses, review valuations and support portfolio performance reporting.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, set objectives, KPIs and ensure proper segregation of duties.
• Produce management accounts, financial analysis, budget‑versus‑actual reporting and KPI dashboards.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA (mandatory/preferred).
• Proven experience managing a finance team, preferably within an investment, private‑equity, asset‑management or family‑office environment.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to work closely with senior management, auditors and external advisors.
