Finance Transformation Consultant

About the role

The Finance Transformation Consultant will partner with CFOs, Finance Directors, Controllers and finance teams to analyse current finance processes, uncover automation and analytics opportunities, and design technology‑driven solutions that improve efficiency, control and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with senior finance stakeholders to understand pain points, priorities and transformation initiatives through discovery workshops.
• Analyse core finance processes such as month‑end/year‑end close, management reporting, reconciliations, consolidation, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, data preparation and audit compliance.
• Identify where Alteryx, automation, AI and data platforms can add value, develop business cases and translate challenges into qualified solution opportunities.
• Provide Alteryx and automation consulting, positioning use cases for workflow automation, data preparation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Convert discovery findings into solution concepts, prepare presentations, proposals and statements of work, and support commercial discussions.
• Maintain a pipeline of finance transformation opportunities, qualify them based on need, urgency, budget and potential value, and ensure proper documentation in CRM.
• Coordinate hand‑over to delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from pre‑sales to implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors or Controllers.
• Strong understanding of finance processes including close, reporting, consolidation, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and accounts payable/receivable.
• Ability to map current (AS‑IS) and future (TO‑BE) processes and translate business problems into technology solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
