Financial Controlling Manager – GBS, Dubai

About the role

Al-Futtaim Technologies is seeking a Manager for Financial Controlling within its Global Business Services (GBS) unit in Dubai. You will be responsible for shaping accounting policies, strengthening internal controls, and driving the adoption of AI‑enabled automation to ensure high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group and Divisional Policy and Advisory Head in developing and standardising financial internal controls.
• Draft divisional accounting policies and assist with implementation through technical analysis.
• Design and deliver training on IAS, IFRS and internal accounting policies to Finance & Operations teams.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting judgments and stay current with accounting standards.
• Identify accounting risks, advise on positions and ensure a sustainable control environment.
• Liaise with Shared Service Centres and Business Unit Finance teams to achieve timely period‑close processes.
• Lead balance‑sheet substantiation initiatives and conduct periodic reviews.
• Roll out collection infrastructure and perform detailed process reviews to maintain financial quality.
• Champion AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and precision in financial operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in financial controlling or related finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of IAS/IFRS and experience advising on accounting standards.
• Proven ability to develop, implement and monitor internal control frameworks.
• Experience working with shared services or global finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to train and influence cross‑functional teams.
