Financial Director

About the role

Our client, a multinational industrial equipment manufacturer, is looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance leader to head the UAE finance function. The role will drive financial stewardship, operational excellence, and strategic business partnering across the entity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Own the monthly forecasting cycle, annual operating plan, and long‑range financial planning processes.
• Provide strategic financial insights and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to translate business objectives into actionable financial plans.
• Drive cost optimisation, productivity initiatives, and scenario analysis to support decision‑making.
• Manage financial risks including credit, FX exposure, compliance, and operational controls.
• Ensure compliance with UAE statutory and regulatory requirements, IFRS/US GAAP standards, and internal policies.
• Strengthen the internal control environment and governance framework.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in a country/entity finance role.
• Industrial manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
