Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will lead the end‑to‑end FP&A process for Bateel International’s UAE operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager‑Accounting and Financial Reporting, the role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, business planning and delivering accurate monthly financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full FP&A cycle – budgeting, rolling forecasts, business plans and management reporting for the UAE entity.
• Own and publish the FP&A calendar, set timetables and hold divisions accountable to deadlines.
• Drive the annual budgeting and business planning process across Retail, Cafés and support functions, consolidate plans and present for approval.
• Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Partner with the Chief Accountant to manage the monthly close, review accruals, provisions and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Review financial reporting packs before submission to Group Consolidation, ensuring consistency and high‑quality commentary.
• Lead monthly management reviews with CFO, CEO and divisional heads, presenting performance, variance drivers and action plans.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Act as finance business partner to Retail, Cafés, Marketing, Supply Chain and Production, providing decision support and challenging assumptions.
• Analyse outlet and café profitability, perform store‑level P&L reviews and under‑performance assessments.
• Develop business cases and feasibility studies for new outlets, including NPV, IRR, payback and sensitivity analysis, and perform post‑investment reviews.
• Drive product, category and menu margin analysis, supporting pricing and promotional decisions.
