First Officer – A320

About the role

Join Etihad Airways as a First Officer on the modern A320 fleet, based in Abu Dhabi. You will support the Captain in safe, efficient flight operations and develop your leadership towards future command.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with flight preparation, navigation, and operation while complying with Etihad procedures and regulations.
• Continuously monitor aircraft position, terrain, and weather to ensure safe navigation.
• Provide clear communication and decision‑support to the Captain.
• Maintain high standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
• Assume command if the Captain becomes incapacitated, following company procedures.

Required profile

• Either Criteria A (minimum 2,000 total flight hours, 1,500 multi‑crew glass‑cockpit hours, 500 A320 type hours) or Criteria B (minimum 1,500 total hours, 1,000 A320 family hours).
• Recent A320 family flight experience (within 12 months) and a valid A320 type rating for at least two more months.
• Unrestricted ATPL or frozen ATPL with required exam certificates, current Class 1 medical, and under 50 years of age.
• Fluency in English (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
