Vice President Supply Chain – Utilities

About the role

The Vice President – Supply Chain will lead and transform the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a major utility environment in the UAE. This senior leadership position is responsible for aligning supply‑chain strategy with operational reliability, financial performance and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supply‑chain strategy that supports business objectives, financial targets, operational KPIs and Emiratisation goals.
• Lead procurement for capital projects, including EPC contracts, civil works and equipment.
• Oversee logistics planning, customs clearance and vendor‑managed inventory programmes.
• Manage strategic sourcing, framework agreements and supplier contracts with OEMs and logistics providers.
• Implement and optimise digital procurement systems, including ERP, e‑procurement and CMMS integration.
• Monitor KPIs such as inventory turnover, order‑cycle time and supplier on‑time delivery, driving continuous improvement.
• Lead CapEx and OpEx budgeting, forecasting and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks, including geopolitical and regulatory risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within utilities, water, power or infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale capital projects, EPC contracts and maintenance programmes.
• Strong understanding of CapEx and OpEx budgeting and asset management.
