Fit Out Workshop Foreman – Construction & Joinery

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fit Out Workshop Foreman to lead our joinery and carpentry production team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing daily workshop activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily fit‑out and joinery workshop production, allocating manpower to meet project requirements.
• Interpret and work from shop and technical drawings for cutting, assembly and finishing.
• Manage the use of MDF, plywood, laminate, veneer, solid wood and other fit‑out materials while controlling waste.
• Monitor woodworking machinery and equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with HSE standards.
• Conduct quality and finishing inspections and prepare daily production and progress reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, store and installation teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of fit‑out, joinery or carpentry workshop experience, preferably as a foreman or supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking materials and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Proven team supervision and manpower planning abilities.
• Experience working in the UAE is an advantage.
