Food & Beverage Intern – 6‑Month Placement

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Intern for a six‑month placement at Novotel & Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate Hotels, part of Accor. The role supports the F&B team in delivering high‑standard service and assisting with banquet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty punctually in the correct uniform with name badge and palm pin.
• Gather and transport supplies needed for function set‑up and assist with table setting.
• Perform side duties and checklists, ensuring equipment is maintained and service areas are safe, clean and locked.
• Report any complaints, incidents or deviations from standards to management.
• Assist with cashiering, beverage dispensing and support other F&B outlets during peak times.
• Deliver food and beverage service in line with departmental standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets and hotel facilities.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests, handling requests and complaints professionally.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism or a related field.
• Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Well‑presented, professionally groomed and able to wear the required uniform.
• Good communication, customer contact and problem‑resolution skills.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage products and service standards.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
