About the role

As a Forward Deployed Application ML Engineering Expert at SAP in Dubai, you will design, build, and operate AI‑native enterprise applications that bring large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation and agent‑based workflows directly into customer environments. You will work closely with fast‑moving delivery teams to translate ambiguous business needs into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate production‑grade, cloud‑native applications integrating AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG and agentic AI.
• Embed within customer projects to quickly understand business processes, technical landscapes and operational challenges.
• Translate product requirements into robust architectures that balance speed, quality, security and maintainability.
• Prototype, iterate and productionize solutions, adapting reference architectures to real‑world enterprise constraints.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from discovery through deployment, observability and production operations.
• Apply AI‑assisted engineering practices and architectural guardrails to ensure compliant, trustworthy solutions.
• Manage delivery milestones, quality standards and technical risks, acting as the primary technical interface for customers and internal stakeholders.

• Proven experience delivering complex AI‑enabled software solutions in enterprise settings.
• Strong ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
