Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, high‑performance software that powers our fintech platforms, digital payment services, and emerging digital‑currency initiatives. The role works closely with architecture, product, DevOps, security, data, QA, compliance, and infrastructure teams to deliver regulated financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations for real‑time transaction platforms.
• Build and maintain microservices and distributed systems using relational and NoSQL databases.
• Apply secure coding practices, performance optimisation, and SDLC security standards.
• Produce technical documentation and support code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of professional experience in backend or platform engineering, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade applications and APIs.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, ownership, and stakeholder communication.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
