Forward Deployed Data Specialist

About the role

Equiti Group is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Specialist to join its Data department in Abu Dhabi. The role serves as the single point of accountability and conduit between Business, Product, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics for a dedicated business line such as CFDs, Cash Equities, or Wealth. You will translate trading and brokerage needs into well‑formed data requirements and drive end‑to‑end delivery of data products.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated data lead for a specific business line, gaining deep functional knowledge of products, trade lifecycle, client journeys, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary bridge between Business, Product, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics teams to ensure accurate translation of commercial intent into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders—including trading desks, relationship managers, product managers, and risk/compliance teams—to gather and prioritize data requirements.
• Orchestrate the extended data engineering and analytics team to deliver data pipelines, models, and analytical outputs.
• Maintain ownership of data product delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fintech roles.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand trading, wealth, and brokerage contexts.
• Hands‑on technologist comfortable participating in requirement‑gathering conversations.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a trusted partner across multiple functions.
