Frontend Engineering Intern

About the role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineering Intern to join Sarwa’s remote‑first team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on real internal tools that help our engineering group build faster, from improving build pipelines to connecting our design system to code.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance internal tooling, including build pipelines and visualisation of engineering metrics.
• Expand technical documentation covering frontend patterns and best practices.
• Assist in building the Figma Code Connect integration for our component library.
• Write integration tests for existing screens using Maestro to increase release confidence.
• Contribute to the design system and component library to ensure UI consistency.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers and product managers on feature implementation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Foundational experience with React and TypeScript through projects, coursework or prior internships.
• Understanding of modern frontend fundamentals such as component architecture, state management and responsive design.
• Empathy for developers and internal users, strong attention to detail, and ability to own tasks from start to finish.
• Curiosity about design systems, developer experience and testing best practices.
• Clear communication and enjoyment of collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
